“Best in the West” Squash Tournament and Celebration Weekend
On the weekend of November 11th-12th, 2011, San Diego Squash will host the 2011 “Best in the West” Tournament in San Diego, CA. The 2011 “Best in the West” is one of the premier squash events in the region, and serves as a fundraiser for the underprivileged youth enrichment programming at Access Youth Academy.
Access Youth Academy is pleased to have the support of a number of squash pros from around the globe participating in this year’s tournament. Some of the pros scheduled to play are Dave Norton, Jeff Young, Kristen Lange, Samantha Teran and five-time World Champion, Sarah Fitz-Gerald.
The main event takes place on Saturday, November 12th. This year’s tournament will feature a ten-team format with each five-member team comprised of one pro squash player and team captain, three amateur players and one Access Youth Academy student athlete.
Whether you come for the on-court action or the ‘dress to be seen’ evening cocktail reception, you’ll be sure to have a good time.
